Absolute Catwoman — The Greatest Thief Alive

Commanded by Selina Kyle, Absolute Catwoman, this Dimir (blue/black) 100-Card Commander Deck is set in the DC Absolute version of Gotham, where Bruce Wayne has no money and Selina has all of it. She grew up with him in Crime Alley, became the greatest thief alive, keeps hidden penthouses and a base in the mountains, and plans to retire at twenty-five. Then her old crew comes back: Holly Robinson turns up on her birthday with a cake and one last job, copycats in Selina's old costume blow up her London flat, and an orb hidden in the cake leads to a secret auction in the Alps. The art follows the Absolute design, not the classic catsuit: an armored black jumpsuit, an oversized mirrored dome helmet with two small cat ears, a segmented mechanical prehensile tail and retractable claws. The leather catsuit with goggles belongs to the Calicos, her old crew. The cast includes Holly Robinson, Helena Bertinelli as the Absolute Huntress, Victoria Sage as the Absolute Question, Bruce Wayne, Waylon Jones, Oswald Cobblepot, Eddie Nygma, Harvey Dent, Victor Fries Jr., Cassandra Cain and Lady Shiva.

Swipe — The Tail Is Faster Than the Hand

• Swipe: fourteen cards carry it word for word — "To swipe a player, look at their hand and exile a nonland card from it. You may cast that card for as long as it remains exiled, and mana of any type can be spent to cast it." You choose the card the opponent was saving for next turn, so every swipe is disruption first and theft second. Swipe never touches the battlefield.
• Selina in three lines: menace and ward {2}; whenever one or more Rogues you control deal combat damage to a player, swipe that player; whenever you swipe, put a +1/+1 counter on target Rogue you control. Calico Lookout can't be blocked, Bruce Wayne, the Old Flame makes a Rogue unblockable whenever he attacks, Catwoman's Prehensile Tail gives the trigger to any equipped creature, and The Getaway Bike swipes on its own.
• Whenever you swipe: seven cards pay you for the act of taking — Holly Robinson, the Calico Who Stayed drains each opponent for 1, Oswald Cobblepot, the Fence makes a Treasure, The Calicos Ride Again creates a 1/1 Calico Rogue with menace, Calico Wheelwoman pumps your Rogues, Young Selina, Crime Alley Runaway grows and Mountain Base Drone scries.
• Swiping without a fight: The Mirrored Helmet makes opponents play with their hands revealed and swipes at sorcery speed, The Orb in the Birthday Cake and The Auctioneer of the Alps swipe each opponent when they enter, Night Over London swipes the whole table and draws a card for each card taken, and One Last Job swipes X times.
• The planeswalker: Selina Kyle, the Greatest Thief Alive can be your commander — +1 swipes target opponent, −3 gains control of an artifact or creature with mana value 4 or less, and −7 gives an emblem that takes a nonland permanent from each player you swipe.

Why Dimir

Blue is the gear and the information: the radiographic visor, the camo mode, the EMP, the surveillance drone, the Question's wiretaps — knowing what is in a hand before taking it. Black is the theft itself and the money: the fence, the ledger, the vault, the assassin. Two combos close the game. Black Mask's Ledger with The Grimm Foundation Vault turns any life gain or loss into a loop that drains every opponent, and Holly starts it with any swipe. Victoria Sage, the Absolute Question with Toss the Penthouse makes every opponent discard their hand while you draw the cards they would have drawn. Bracket 4 tooling: The Ring from the London Vault, Calico Signet, Black-Diamond Signet and Cat's-Eye Talisman for mana; Casing the Joint and A Name in the Little Black Book as tutors; Claws Out, EMP Burst, Harvey Dent, Cassandra Cain, The Five-Star Heist and Finders Keepers as removal; The Snatch, Eddie Nygma and Not So Fast, Kitten as counterspells; Lights Out at the Gotham Gala as the one sweeper; More Money Than She Needs and Every Camera in Gotham for cards; Inside Job, Jewel Thief's Bribe, The Concierge's Collector and Nine Lives for the big scores.

A complete 100-card Commander deck plus 3 tokens (a Calico Rogue, a Treasure and a Swipe reminder card), tuned for Bracket 4, with 35 lands including ten themed nonbasics such as Selina's London Penthouse, The Mountain Base in the Alps and Crime Alley.
