FAQ
Everything you need to know before ordering, and a bit more. If a question is missing, write to us — we'll add it.
Are your proxies legal for tournaments?
No. Vanyrix proxies are intended for casual play: kitchen-table, Commander among friends, demos, playtesting, personal collection. For tournaments sanctioned by Wizards of the Coast (WPN, Premium, qualified…), only official cards are allowed. It's a strict rule, and we encourage it.
What is the print quality?
High-resolution printing on black-core 320 gsm paper, matte finish by default, holographic foil available on request. Color calibration is checked on every print run to respect the original artworks, and the black-core opacity prevents any transparency when sleeved.
What is black-core 320 gsm paper?
It's the standard used for professional playing cards: two layers of white paper surrounding a central black layer. Result: total opacity (impossible to guess the card through transparency, even with thin sleeves), mechanical durability when shuffling, and a feel close to an official card. 320 gsm is the typical weight for premium game prints.
What are your delivery times and rates?
Three speeds to choose from, depending on your urgency:
- Standard — 12-18 business days / 11.05 € up to 108 cards or 14.75 € for 109-216 cards.
- Express — 7-9 business days / 41.25 €.
- Priority — 5-7 business days / 65.95 €.
- Custom — by quote for large volumes or special orders via the contact form.
Full details on the Shipping page.
Is there a minimum quantity?
Yes, 108 cards minimum per order (limit imposed by our printing partner). It's also what allows us to keep a consistent production cost on each black-core 320 gsm card.
Why not 3-day shipping? Is it print-on-demand?
Yes — exactly. Each card is printed specifically for your order. No dormant stock: you receive a freshly printed card, calibrated and inspected. It's longer than generic drop-shipping, but it's what guarantees the black-core quality and color consistency that defines the Vanyrix signature. For urgent orders, the Priority option goes down to 5 business days.
Can I order a custom card or an alternative artwork?
Yes. The Custom & Promo category lets you submit a personal creation or an alternative artwork. We validate each request for copyright reasons before printing.
How do you prevent a proxy from being mistaken for an authentic card?
All our cards bear a discreet "Vanyrix · Proxy" mention on the back or on the edge according to your preference (option at order). It's an integrity requirement: a Vanyrix card must never be mistaken for an official Wizards of the Coast card.
What is your relationship with Wizards of the Coast?
None. Vanyrix is an independent, fan-made project, not affiliated with, sponsored by, or approved by Wizards of the Coast LLC or Hasbro, Inc. Magic: The Gathering is a registered trademark of Wizards of the Coast. See our dedicated disclaimer.
Do you accept returns?
Yes. You have 14 days from receipt to exercise your right of withdrawal. The product must be returned in new condition, in its packaging. Personalized orders (Custom & Promo) are not eligible in accordance with article L.221-28 of the Code de la consommation. Full details on the Returns page.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit cards via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), as well as supported wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay). Banking data never transits through our servers.
Do you offer packs or volume discounts?
Yes — volume discounts automatically apply in the cart starting from a certain volume. We also offer themed packs (complete Commander decks, mana base, color classics) at advantageous prices in the shop.
Are the cards playable in sleeves?
Yes, and it's even recommended. Our cards are calibrated to standard dimensions (63 × 88 mm) and fit perfectly into all sleeves on the market (Dragon Shield, KMC, Ultimate Guard, etc.).
What should I do if a card arrives damaged?
Contact us via our contact form with a photo within 7 days of receipt. We proceed with a replacement or refund at no cost. Quality is our signature, and we are committed to guaranteeing it.
How can I contact you for a question that isn't here?
