Premium−70%Castlevania — 100-Card Commander Deck
SKU DECK-CSV-100
Trevor Belmont, Last of the Line and Sypha Belnades, Speaker Magician lead a Boros (red/white) partner Commander deck of monster hunters: a creature that whips deals damage equal to its power to an opponent's creature and takes nothing back. Trevor whips whenever he attacks and every whip adds a +1/+1 counter; Sypha makes a creature whip on every instant or sorcery.
Castlevania — Vampire Killer
Led by the partners Trevor Belmont, Last of the Line and Sypha Belnades, Speaker Magician, this Boros (red/white) 100-Card Commander Deck opens in Wallachia, 1476: a healer named Lisa is burned as a witch in the square of Târgoviște by a bishop, and her husband — Dracula — gives the country one year before he unleashes an army of night creatures. The last Belmont, of a monster-hunting family excommunicated by the same Church, is drinking in a tavern in Gresit. He meets a Speaker magician, wakes a dhampir sleeping under the earth, and the three climb to the castle. Then the castle returns every hundred years, and every hundred years a Belmont waits for it with the same whip. The cast includes Alucard, Lisa Tepes, the forgemasters Hector and Isaac, Saint Germain, Greta of Lindenfeld, Leon, Simon, Juste, Richter and Julius Belmont, Maria Renard, Annette, Grant Danasty and Shanoa, with the Axe, the Cross, Holy Water and Dracula's relics.
- Whip: word for word on thirty cards — "It deals damage equal to its power to target creature an opponent controls." It isn't a fight: the whipped creature deals nothing back. That's the whole idea of the Vampire Killer — a human with reach kills the night creature before it gets close.
- The commanders are the plan: Trevor has first strike, whips whenever he attacks, and whenever any creature you control whips it gets a +1/+1 counter — each strike makes the next one stronger. Sypha has ward {1} and makes one of your creatures whip whenever you cast an instant or sorcery: the magician sets up, the hunter lands it.
- Whips everywhere: on attack (Simon, Richter twice, Julius with every attacker, Leon with every equipped creature), on arrival (The Belmont Crest for every nontoken creature, Greta, Mizrak), on block, or by spell (Crack of the Whip, Bloody Tears, The Holy Water, The Axe). Annette drains each opponent per whip, Maria Renard makes a Guardian Dove, Bloodline of the Belmonts draws, Stake Through the Heart finishes what the whip left. No custom counter.
Why Boros
Red is the whip and the fire — Trevor's temper, Sypha's fire spirals, the forgemasters' circles, Richter's haste. White is the hunter's faith without the Church — the Belmont crest, holy water, the cross, a healer's medicine, the walls of Lindenfeld. No black: the deck hunts what black makes. Two combos close the game: Hector, Devil Forgemaster with Gargoyle of the Chapel makes unlimited hasty flying Gargoyles, and with The Belmont Crest every return whips while Annette drains; Lisa Tepes with Clock Tower Automaton deals unlimited damage. Dracula's Ring, Rib, Nail and Eyeball and The Bishop's Tithe ramp; Lore of the Belmont Hold and Leon Belmont tutor; Banishing the Night, The Castle Shifts and The Cross remove threats; Sypha's Inferno sweeps; Belmont Hold Bestiary and The Speakers' Memory draw; The Speakers' Blessing protects.
A complete 100-card Commander deck plus 4 tokens, tuned for Bracket 4, available as a digital print-yourself edition or a printed physical deck, and offered in 10 languages.
