Premium−70%Darkest Dungeon — 100-Card Commander Deck
SKU DECK-DDG-100
The Ancestor leads an Orzhov (white/black) Commander deck lit by a torch of four counters placed on you, burning down one each upkeep. While it's lit (Torchlit) your creatures have lifelink; when it's out (Darkness) they get +2/+0 and menace, your Darkness cards wake up, and you lose 2 life each end step. Keep the light, or let it die to strike — and choose when to relight it.
Darkest Dungeon — Torchlight
Commanded by The Ancestor, this Orzhov (white/black) 100-Card Commander Deck begins with an old aristocrat who spent the family fortune digging under his manor for what would make him important; he found it, let it out, and shot himself. His heir receives a letter: the estate, the debts, and a request to come home and clean it all up. You hire mercenaries at the stagecoach, send four of them down with a pack of torches, and watch the torch burn low — the dimmer the light, the bigger the loot, the harder the blows, and the more often something comes out of the dark. The cast includes Reynauld the Crusader, Dismas the Highwayman, Junia the Vestal, Paracelsus the Plague Doctor, Alhazred the Occultist, Audrey the Grave Robber, Baldwin the Leper, Boudica the Hellion, Tardif the Jester, Missandei the Arbalest, Bigby the Abomination, the Caretaker, and the Heart of Darkness, the Countess, the Collector and the Shambler.
- Torchlight: one custom counter, the torch counter, placed on you and never on a permanent, four at most. One rule: Torchlit abilities work while you have one or more torch counters; Darkness abilities work while you have none.
- The Ancestor is the plan: he lights the torch to four as he enters and removes one each upkeep. Torchlit — your creatures have lifelink. Darkness — they get +2/+0 and menace, and you lose 2 life at your end step. Light is safety; darkness is profit, paid in blood.
- Cards do two things with the torch: "you get N torch counters" (Light a Torch, Camp for the Night, the Caretaker, the Lantern) or "remove a torch counter from yourself" (Dismas draws two, Paracelsus gives -2/-2, Snuff the Torch draws a card per counter). In the dark Boudica strikes twice, Audrey can't be blocked, Bigby becomes a 6/6 beast and the Heart of Darkness costs four less; in the light Reynauld has first strike and Baldwin is indestructible. Fifty-three of the sixty-five spells carry or read the torch.
Why Orzhov
White is the light and those who carry it — the Vestal's prayers, the Crusader's banner, the Abbey, the campfire. Black is what the Ancestor dug up and what the dark pays — the Occultist's books, the Crimson Court, the Necromancer, the life lost every night without a torch. Two combos close the game: Crimson Curse with The Countess, Lady of the Crimson Court turns the first point of lifelink into an infinite drain, and The Ancestor's Lantern with The Antiquarian, Curio Seeker removes and returns a torch counter forever. Heirloom Gold, Crest of the Estate, Wax Seal of the Estate and The Ancestor's Pen ramp; Letter from the Ancestor tutors; Judgement, Smite and Hands from the Abyss remove threats; Ruin Has Come to Our Family sweeps and relights the torch; The Ancestor Remembers and Alhazred draw.
A complete 100-card Commander deck plus 5 tokens, tuned for Bracket 4, available as a digital print-yourself edition or a printed physical deck, and offered in 10 languages.
