Premium−70%Horizon — 100-Card Commander Deck
SKU DECK-HZN-100
Aloy, Seeker leads a Simic (green/blue) Commander deck about overriding machines: Override gains control of an opponent's creature for good — as long as its power is no greater than the number of Machines you control — and it becomes a Machine. Every Override grows the herd, so the next one can reach higher. Aloy overrides whenever she attacks and gives your Machines haste.
Horizon — Override
Commanded by Aloy, Seeker, this Simic (green/blue) 100-Card Commander Deck is set a thousand years after a swarm of self-replicating war robots devoured the biosphere. The Earth has grown back and is full of animal-shaped machines — Striders, Grazers, Sawtooths, Thunderjaws, the giant Tallnecks — built in mountain Cauldrons by GAIA, the intelligence that rebuilt the planet. Aloy, a Nora outcast with a Focus at her temple, learns she is the clone of Elisabet Sobeck, the scientist who designed GAIA, and that a shard of corrupted machine on her spear lets her override a machine: she touches it, its eye turns from red to blue, and it fights for her. The cast includes Elisabet Sobeck, GAIA, HADES, Sylens, Rost, Varl, Erend, Talanah, Petra, Kotallo, Beta, Zo and Nil, with Thunderjaws, Stormbirds, Tallnecks, Sunwings, Behemoths and Tremortusks.
- Override: word for word on fifteen cards, Cauldron SIGMA and the reminder card — "Gain control of target creature an opponent controls with power less than or equal to the number of Machines you control. It becomes a Machine artifact in addition to its other types." One sentence, no counter, no duration: once taken, it's yours.
- The herd is the key: you never override anything bigger than the herd already following you, and every overridden creature joins it — so each Override raises the ceiling for the next. Aloy has vigilance, overrides whenever she attacks and gives your Machines haste.
- Every override pays: Elisabet Sobeck, Zero Dawn draws, Varl grows, Erend gives trample, Talanah makes the prize fight, Petra makes a Watcher, and The Hunting Grounds Trial puts a +1/+1 counter on each Machine. Sixteen more cards read the word Machine — GAIA, Tallneck, Tremortusk, Kotallo.
Why Simic
Green is the world that grew back — the Embrace, the herds, the hunt, tribes sowing behind a Plowhorn. Blue is the Old Ones' technology — the Focus, GAIA, the Cauldrons, the code on the spear. The deck is exactly where they meet: a living herd that is also a machine. Two combos close the game: Behemoth with Sunwing makes unlimited mana and Machine arrivals, and Focus Data Loop imprinting Machine Reboot with three artifact mana untaps without limit for All Machines, Answer. Old One Power Cell, The Focus, Nora Spirit Carving and Plowhorn ramp; Scanning with the Focus and Sylens tutor; Hunter's Shot, Tear-Off Shot and Ropecaster Bind remove threats; Firewall of the Old Ones and Zero Dawn Shutdown counter; The Derangement returns every creature that isn't a Machine to hand — the herd stays; The Cauldron's Core draws.
A complete 100-card Commander deck plus 3 tokens, tuned for Bracket 4, available as a digital print-yourself edition or a printed physical deck, and offered in 10 languages.
