Premium−70%Portal — 100-Card Commander Deck
SKU DECK-PRT-100
Chell, the Test Subject and GLaDOS, the Facility's Mind lead an Azorius (white/blue) partner Commander deck of speedy things: Fling exiles one of your creatures and returns it immediately with flying and haste. Chell flings one at the beginning of each combat and gives it a +1/+1 counter; GLaDOS, a 0/6 wall, drains each opponent on every fling — and every turret or core that goes through the portal fires its arrival ability again.
Portal — Now You're Thinking With Portals
Led by Chell, the Test Subject and GLaDOS, the Facility's Mind, bound by Partner with, this Azorius (white/blue) 100-Card Commander Deck is set in Aperture Science, a testing facility dug into a salt mine under Michigan. A silent test subject wakes in a relaxation vault and is handed a device that puts two linked holes on any white wall: in through the blue, out through the orange. The machine that runs the building, GLaDOS, walks her through nineteen test chambers, promises her cake and tries to lower her into an incinerator. She refuses and takes the machine apart. Later a dim personality core, Wheatley, wakes her, seizes the facility and turns out worse. Beneath it all lies Old Aperture: Cave Johnson, his assistant Caroline, moon rock ground into paint, singing turrets. The cast includes PotatOS, Atlas and P-body, Doug Rattmann, the Space, Fact and Adventure cores, the turrets and the Weighted Storage Cube.
- Fling: one sentence — "Fling target creature you control. (Exile it, then return it to the battlefield under your control. It gains flying and haste until end of turn.)" Speedy thing goes in, speedy thing comes out: fling before combat to send an attacker over the blockers, fling at end of turn to stand a tapped attacker back up as a blocker — and its arrival ability fires again (cores scry and draw, turrets shoot tapped creatures, Wheatley steals again).
- The plan in four lines: Chell flings a creature at the beginning of each of your combats and puts a +1/+1 counter on every flung creature; GLaDOS is a 0/6 defender who drains 1 from each opponent on every fling and flings for {3} herself. Fourteen cards fling, twelve more read "whenever you fling a creature".
- No creature tokens, on purpose: a token you fling is gone for good, and the reminder card says so.
Why Azorius
Blue is science — the portal device, the AI, the cores, conversion gel, excursion funnels and hard-light bridges. White is protocol — the test, the safety gear, the turrets guarding the chamber, Cave Johnson's rules. No red: Chell never throws a punch; even the incinerator is a door she walks out of. Two combos close the game: the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device with Atlas, Co-op Testing Bot nets mana on every fling for unlimited flings and drains, and Two Portals, One Surface with Aperture Science Announcer and Atlas loops flings and arrivals. Aperture Science Fusion Core, Aperture Science Employee Badge, Enrichment Center Keycard and Moon Rock Sample ramp; Aperture Science Requisition Form tutors; Material Emancipation Grill, Repulsion Gel and Combustible Lemon remove threats; The Cake Is a Lie counters; The Neurotoxin Release sweeps; Caroline protects; Doug Rattmann and Cave Johnson draw.
A complete 100-card Commander deck plus 3 tokens, tuned for Bracket 4, available as a digital print-yourself edition or a printed physical deck, and offered in 10 languages.
Fan-made proxy — not intended for official tournaments
