Premium−70%Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice — 100-Card Commander Deck
SKU DECK-SKR-100
Wolf, the One-Armed leads a Rakdos (black/red) Commander deck about breaking posture instead of health: every point of damage your sources deal to an opponent's creature leaves that many posture counters, and posture never heals. Deathblow destroys any opposing creature whose posture counters reach its toughness, however big it is — and Wolf rises once with Resurrection.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice — Hesitation Is Defeat
Commanded by Wolf, the One-Armed, this Rakdos (black/red) 100-Card Commander Deck is set in Ashina in the Sengoku era: a clan that took its province by the sword is dying before an army it can't beat, and its heir Genichiro wants the one thing in the castle that could save it — Kuro, a boy who carries the Dragon's Heritage and cannot die. Kuro's sworn shinobi, Wolf, loses his left arm protecting him, wakes in a ruined temple with a wooden prosthetic carved by the Sculptor, and climbs the mountain — dying, returning, dying again — through Lady Butterfly, Gyoubu Oniwa, the Guardian Ape, the Corrupted Monk, his foster father Owl and Isshin, the Sword Saint. The cast also includes Emma, O'Rin, Jinsuke Saze, Juzou, Snake Eyes Shirafuji and the Divine Dragon.
- Posture: in this game you don't empty a health bar, you fill a posture bar. One rule — whenever a source you control deals damage to a creature an opponent controls, put that many posture counters on it. Damage wears off at end of turn; posture never does.
- Deathblow: word for word on Wolf, Mortal Blade, Ashina Cross, Shadowrush and Shinobi Execution — "Destroy target creature an opponent controls with posture counters on it equal to or greater than its toughness." A 2-damage hit on an 8/8 is a quarter of an execution. Wolf has first strike and Deathblows whenever he attacks.
- More than thirty cards place posture, deal small damage that Wolf converts, or read it: Isshin, the Sword Saint stops creatures with posture from blocking, Puppeteer Ninjutsu borrows them, and Immortal Severance executes everything that's broken and draws that many. Resurrection: the first time Wolf dies this game, he returns tapped. Shadows die twice.
Why Rakdos
Black is the shinobi — the Iron Code, Sabimaru's poison, the Mortal Blade that kills what cannot die, Dragonrot paid in life. Red is the sword — Ashina's samurai, Isshin's lightning and fire, the sparks of a deflection. Two combos close the game: Kuro, the Divine Heir with Dragon's Blood Droplet loops life loss and gain until the table ends, and Lady Butterfly with Interior Ministry Infiltrator makes an unlimited army of hasty Ninjas. Sculptor's Idol, Homeward Idol, Ashina Sake and Spirit Emblem ramp; Information from Fujioka tutors; Mortal Draw, Dragon Flash, Ashina Cross and Shadowrush remove threats; Hirata Estate Burns sweeps and Wolf survives through Resurrection; Dragonrot, the Sculptor and Serpent Viscera draw.
A complete 100-card Commander deck plus 3 tokens, tuned for Bracket 4, available as a digital print-yourself edition or a printed physical deck, and offered in 10 languages.
