SKU DECK-VEY-100
Tamsin Ashwick, First-Year leads a green/white Selesnya Commander deck built as someone's first deck without being a weak one: cast creatures every turn, make them bigger, attack. Classic keywords only, three instants, one or two lines of text per card, and an original world.
The Tower of Veyl — Tamsin's First Year
Commanded by Tamsin Ashwick, First-Year, this Selesnya (green/white) 100-Card Commander Deck is built to be someone's first deck — and to win anyway. The world is entirely original: a tower of mages on a cliff above the village of Emberly Hollow. At the top sits Oriane Veyl, archmage for forty years, who has turned away three hundred applicants. At the bottom of the hundred stairs is Tamsin, nineteen, with an apple orchard, a fox named Pell who lives in the flour bin, and a letter nobody asked her to write. She was admitted. The deck is her first year: she climbs the stairs and the whole valley climbs with her — the orchard, the village, the beasts of the Wickwood, her grandmother, and a few oddities of the tower, like Sabelle Ondry, the ghost of the reading room, and Ashkarr, the dragon the tower is built on.
- Tamsin: a three-mana 2/3 with vigilance who gives every other creature you control +1/+1 and draws a card whenever you attack with three or more creatures.
- Go wide: thirty-five creatures, from Orchard Keeper and Pell, the Kitchen Fox to Mother Hesk, Tower Gardener, who draws a card for every creature spell, plus Wren Familiar birds and Oakling treefolk from Emberly Bellringer, Wickwood Grove-Singer and Call the Familiars.
- Bigger every turn: anthems like The Ashwick Banner and A Teacher's Pride, and +1/+1 counters from Oriane Veyl, May Queen of Emberly, The Hundred Stairs and The Gate of Veyl.
- The finishers: Everyone Out to the Orchard gives the whole army +3/+3 and trample, First Flight gives +2/+2 and flying, The Great Elm of Wickwood does it on arrival, and Ashkarr, the Wyrm Under Veyl is a 6/6 flying trampler.
Why Selesnya
Green brings the bodies and the mana; white makes them better together. Only classic keywords — flying, vigilance, trample, lifelink — no custom mechanics, no X spells, no combos, no graveyard counting, only +1/+1 counters. Three instants in total, readable at a glance: Class Dismissed, Back to the Wickwood and Not Yet. A How to Play — Quick Start card sums up the turn in five steps. Under the simple surface sits real Bracket 4 tooling with original names: The Founder's Ring, Seal of the Tower, mana creatures, two tutors, a one-sided sweeper in Clear the Classroom, and The Headless Proctor, who stops opponents casting spells on your turn. Thirty-seven lands, nine of them nonbasic, and an average mana value of 3.00.
A complete 100-card Commander deck plus 3 tokens, tuned for Bracket 4, available as a digital print-yourself edition or a printed physical deck, and offered in 10 languages.
Fan-made proxy — not intended for official tournaments
