Reminder card. IMPLANT: put an embryo counter on target creature — yours or theirs. At the beginning of that creature's controller's next upkeep, THE HOST IS DESTROYED and you create your next hive token: Facehugger 1/1, then Chestburster 2/2, then Drone 4/4, then Warrior 6/6, then Queen 8/8. Your hive never goes back a stage, and it stays at Queen once it arrives there.
This is not a counter that transforms the creature it sits on. The host dies and something else is born, one stage further along than the last one.
PERFECT ORGANISM: whenever a spell or ability an opponent controls targets this creature, put an adaptation counter on it. It gets +1/+1 for each adaptation counter on it. Then destroy the source of that spell or ability if it's a creature or an artifact; otherwise its controller loses 3 life. The counters are permanent. It learns from everything that tries to kill it.
