The Roll and Approval
SKU BALDURSGATE-CARD-105
The Roll and Approval — Token card from the BALDUR'S GATE 3 Commander deck (Roll for It).
The Roll and Approval
Type: Token
Rarity: Token
Mana Cost: —
Color Identity: Colorless
Reminder card. Roll N — Reveal the top card of your library. If its mana value is N or greater, this succeeds. If it's a land, that's a natural 1 and the failure clause applies instead.
There is no die and no outside chance in this deck: the result comes out of YOUR library, which means every scry, surveil, reorder and tutor in the deck is a hand on the dice. Bhaal's Whisper puts a chosen card on top; Karmic Dice reorders the top three; Guidance and Illithid Powers reveal two and let you pick; The Astral Prism plays what it can already see. A library heavy in lands is a library that rolls ones.
Approval — This creature enters with two approval counters on it. You can't control more than four creatures with approval: when a fifth enters, choose one of them and exile it — it goes back to camp. Approval counters go up and down with the choices printed on your cards, and this creature's abilities are read at its current level.
Approval is PER COMPANION, not a score for you: the same act moves different people in opposite directions. Sacrificing a creature pleases Astarion, Shadowheart, Minthara and the Dark Urge and offends Karlach, Wyll, Minsc and Halsin. That is why some parties of four cannot be assembled at all.
“Four go out. The rest stay at camp and remember which four you picked.”
Single card from the BALDUR'S GATE 3 (Roll for It) Commander deck. Sold individually.
Fan-made proxy — not intended for official tournaments
