Premium−70%Better Call Saul — 100-Card Commander Deck
SKU DECK-BCS-100
Jimmy McGill // Saul Goodman leads an Esper (white/blue/black) Commander deck that reads every card for the loophole: Loophole raises or lowers one number in any spell or ability, Slippin' Jimmy runs bluffs the table can call, and four cases later Jimmy becomes Saul for good.
Better Call Saul — Every Number Is Negotiable
Commanded by the double-faced Jimmy McGill // Saul Goodman, this Esper (white/blue/black) 100-Card Commander Deck follows a small-time hustler from Cicero who becomes a lawyer by correspondence, spends six years trying to be the lawyer his brother would respect, and then stops trying. The show treats the law as text — a number on a file, a word in a contract, a deadline — and the deck plays it the same way.
- Loophole: choose up to one target spell, activated ability or triggered ability and raise or lower one number in its rules text by up to 2, but not below 0. An opponent's burn shrinks and their draw seven becomes five, while the deck is written full of numbers on purpose: Mike Ehrmantraut exiles a creature with mana value 3 or less that becomes 5, Tuco makes opponents sacrifice a creature with power 2 or less that becomes 4, Seven Million in Cash makes seven Retainer tokens that become nine, and Saul Gone drains 7 that becomes 9. The target is optional, so every Loophole counts: Kim untaps a permanent, Billable Hours drains, Statute of Limitations draws.
- Slippin' Jimmy: secretly choose a card in your hand and name a card type — you may lie. If no one calls the con, you get it. If someone calls and you told the truth, you get it twice; if you lied, you discard that card. Lalo makes the caller lose 3 life, Juan Bolsa makes a wrong caller discard, Howard and Rich Schweikart reward you for being called, and Marco Pasternak draws on every con nobody calls.
- Four cases to Saul: Jimmy McGill has {T}: Loophole and takes a case counter every time you Loophole or get a con. At four he transforms into Saul Goodman, a 4/4 with menace who drains 1 on every Loophole and runs a con every upkeep — and he never transforms back, not even in the command zone.
Why Esper
White is the law — the bar, the courthouse, the class action, the clients. Blue is reading — the fine print, the transposed address, the counter-argument, the late-night commercial. Black is Saul — the cartel clients, the cons, the money in the desert. There is no red: Saul never won by force. Two combos close the game: Jimmy McGill + Kim Wexler untap each other into unbounded Loopholes, and drain once he becomes Saul; The Bingo Cage with Motion to Reconsider imprinted and enough mana rocks makes unbounded mana and Loopholes, which Billable Hours turns into drain. Zafiro Añejo, State Bar Card, HHM Letterhead and Burner Phone ramp; Document Discovery and Dumpster Diving tutor; Objection! and Contingency Fee counter; Disbarment, Plan and Execution and The Squat Cobbler remove threats; The Fuse Box is the one sweeper; Late-Night Commercial and Sandpiper Class Action tax every opponent's spells and draws.
A complete 100-card Commander deck plus 3 tokens, tuned for Bracket 4, available as a digital print-yourself edition or a printed physical deck, and offered in 10 languages.
