Seventy-Two Transformations

The Destined One can pay {cost} to become a copy of any creature card sitting in a graveyard until end of turn — except it keeps its own name and this ability. Nothing is exiled and no token is created: the copied card stays right where it died, in its owner's graveyard.

Because the commander keeps its own name, it also keeps every +1/+1 counter it has picked up and the transformation ability itself, so it can shift into something else that just died later in the very same turn.

The Staff

This Equipment turns size into a choice: pay {X} once per turn for +X/+X. When a removal spell comes in, The Staff can return to your hand for free, sidestepping the threat before you re-equip it later.
