Premium−70%Blade Runner — 100-Card Commander Deck
SKU DECK-BLR-100
Rick Deckard, Blade Runner leads a Dimir (blue/black) Commander deck built on a printed death date: Replicants lose a lifespan counter every upkeep, burn them early for power and pay out when they expire — while Retire exiles any creature and draws a card for every year it had left.
Blade Runner — Born with an End Date
Commanded by Rick Deckard, Blade Runner, this Dimir (blue/black) 100-Card Commander Deck covers two films thirty years apart and one job. A corporation builds people who are better than people at everything that pays, and gives them four years; some come back to Earth to ask for more, and the police keep a unit whose job is to find them and call what happens next “retirement”. The cast runs from Deckard, Gaff, Bryant, Holden, Eldon Tyrell and the four Nexus-6 off the shuttle — Roy Batty, Pris, Leon and Zhora — to Officer K, Joi, Lieutenant Joshi, Niander Wallace, Luv, Sapper Morton, Freysa and Dr. Ana Stelline.
- Replicant: sixteen cards and the Newborn Replicant token enter with lifespan counters. One comes off at the beginning of each upkeep, and when the last one is removed the creature expires and is sacrificed. Around thirty cards add, remove or read those counters — Incept Dates, Memory Implant, Hannibal Chew, Joi, J.F. Sebastian, Accelerated Decrepitude.
- Burn Bright: most Replicants can remove their own lifespan counters for an effect — Roy Batty gets +2/+2 and deathtouch, Pris locks down a creature, the Off-World Mining Replicant adds three colorless mana. Each counter is either one more turn of life or one big moment, never both, and Eldon Tyrell copies every Burn Bright that isn't a mana ability.
- Retire: ten cards exile target creature and draw you a card for each lifespan counter it still had. Against the table it is a clean exile; against your own board it is card draw. Deckard, Gaff, Harry Bryant, Lieutenant Joshi, Holden and The Origami Unicorn all trigger on each retirement.
- Every expiry pays: Roy Batty drains 2 whenever another Replicant expires, Pris and Leon's Photographs draw, Freysa makes a Newborn Replicant, Doc Badger makes a Treasure, and Niander Wallace returns the expired card to the battlefield for {2}.
Why Dimir
Blue is the manufacture: specifications, incept dates, implanted memories, the Esper Photo Enhancer and the archive on glass. Black is the deadline and the hunt: a lifespan printed into the product, and a department that exiles what it cannot employ. Deckard is the bridge — his activation retires a creature with a lifespan counter or mana value 3 or less, every retirement grows him, and at three +1/+1 counters he is a Replicant himself. Two combos close the game: The Assembly Line (Niander Wallace + Off-World Mining Replicant) loops expiries for unbounded colorless mana, and No Termination Date (Rachael + Incept Dates) flickers Rachael endlessly so that Ana Stelline or Accelerated Decrepitude finishes the table. Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Dimir Signet and Talisman of Dominance ramp; Search the Wallace Archive and The Box Under the Dead Tree tutor; Retirement, Retirement Notice, Shot Through Glass and Off-World Emigration remove threats; Cells Interlinked and Not Within Baseline counter; The Blackout is the single sweeper.
A complete 100-card Commander deck plus 4 tokens, tuned for Bracket 4, available as a digital print-yourself edition or a printed physical deck, and offered in 10 languages.
