Premium−70%Control — 100-Card Commander Deck
SKU DECK-CTL-100
Jesse Faden, Director leads an Izzet (blue/red) Commander deck of Objects of Power: ordinary artifacts — a floppy disk, a red phone, an anchor, a carousel horse — each print a "Bound —" line, and Jesse has every Bound ability of each artifact you control. She flies, strikes twice, turns indestructible or launches at range depending on what's on the table, and draws a card whenever a new one arrives.
Control — Objects of Power
Commanded by Jesse Faden, Director, this Izzet (blue/red) 100-Card Commander Deck is set in New York, in a brutalist skyscraper that appears on no map and is bigger inside than out: the Oldest House, headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control, the agency that collects and contains what reality got wrong. Jesse walks in looking for the brother the Bureau took from her seventeen years earlier, finds the Director dead in his office, picks up his gun — the Service Weapon, which chooses its bearer — and is Director before noon. The building is in lockdown: a resonance called the Hiss has taken the staff. Her powers come from Objects of Power, ordinary things an Altered World Event filled with something; she binds to each one and can then do what it does. The cast includes Dylan Faden, Polaris, the Board, the Former, Ahti the janitor, Dr. Casper Darling, Emily Pope, Helen Marshall, Simon Arish and Zachariah Trench.
- Bound: word for word on seventeen artifacts and the Altered Item token — "Bound — <ability> (Jesse Faden, Director has this ability as long as you control this artifact.)" The Floppy Disk and The Service Weapon give her Launch, The Anchor indestructible, The Carousel hexproof, The Snow Globe Seize, The Hedron and The Pendulum flying and vigilance, The Cassette Player double strike, The Television Set two cards per hit, The Hotline creature copies.
- Jesse in four lines: haste, ward {2}; she has every Bound ability of each artifact you control; whenever an artifact with a Bound ability enters under your control, draw a card. An Object destroyed, bounced or stolen takes its power back with it.
- The Bureau: Emily Pope reduces Object costs, Casper Darling draws on every activation, Polaris cheapens activations, Helen Marshall makes an Agent per Object, Trench and Dylan bring them back — Dylan is the only other creature who shares them.
Why Izzet
Blue is the Bureau — research, containment, paperwork, the Board's redactions, the Astral Plane. Red is Jesse — telekinesis, Launch, the Service Weapon firing, the Hiss burning the House. Two combos close the game: Jesse with The Hotline and AWE Responder or Containment Specialist makes unlimited hasty flying copies, and The Answering Machine imprinting Altered World Event with Sol Ring and Arcane Signet untaps without limit. Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Izzet Signet, Talisman of Creativity, The Anchor and The Refrigerator ramp; Bureau Requisition tutors; Launch, Pierce Form, Shatter Form and Containment Protocol remove threats; Redacted by the Board and Shield counter; The Hiss Incursion sweeps and Jesse survives it with The Anchor; Dr. Darling's Video Logs draws.
A complete 100-card Commander deck plus 3 tokens, tuned for Bracket 4, available as a digital print-yourself edition or a printed physical deck, and offered in 10 languages.
Fan-made proxy — not intended for official tournaments
