Premium−70%Cowboy Bebop — 100-Card Commander Deck
SKU DECK-CBB-100
Spike Spiegel, Space Cowboy leads an Izzet (blue/red) Commander deck of bounty hunters: Bounty puts a price in counters on an opponent's creature, the price climbs while it runs, and it only pays — one Woolong per counter — if the target is brought in alive, exiled. With Spike on the table, every death becomes a capture.
Cowboy Bebop — See You, Space Cowboy
Commanded by Spike Spiegel, Space Cowboy, this Izzet (blue/red) 100-Card Commander Deck is set in 2071, when the police are too few to catch anyone and independent hunters — cowboys — bring criminals in for the bounty. Spike, a former Red Dragon hitman, and Jet Black, a former cop, fly an old space trawler called the Bebop with Faye Valentine, Radical Edward and Ein. They are excellent at catching people and never really get paid. The cast includes Vicious, Julia, Annie, Laughing Bull, Punch and Judy of Big Shot, Mad Pierrot, Andy, Gren, Vincent Volaju and Electra Ovilo, from Tharsis and Ganymede to the Red Dragon Cathedral.
- Bounty: "Bounty N (Put N bounty counters on target creature an opponent controls.)" — and the payment, word for word: exile it and create a Woolong token (a Treasure) for each bounty counter on it. If the target dies, nobody gets paid: that's the joke of the whole series, and the whole plan of the deck.
- Spike in four lines: first strike and haste, Bounty 2 whenever he attacks, and if a creature an opponent controls with a bounty counter would die, it's exiled instead and pays its Woolongs. Without him the deck still has its own exile: Bang, Waltz for Venus, Whatever Happens, Happens.
- The price climbs: Big Shot adds a counter to every wanted creature each upkeep, Vincent Volaju and Toys in the Attic put the whole board on the wanted list, The Bebop and Tomato add one each turn. Jet draws whenever you create Woolongs, Faye deals 1 damage to each opponent for each Woolong you sacrifice, and Annie turns them into permanent mana.
Why Izzet
Blue is the hunt through information — Ed's hacking, Jet's old police contacts, the TV show that posts the prices. Red is the capture and the money that leaves as fast as it comes — Spike's Jeet Kune Do, Faye's guns, the Swordfish's cannon. Two combos close the game: Electra Ovilo with Seeing Double stacks unlimited bounty counters on one target for unlimited Woolongs that Faye turns into damage, and Isochron Scepter with Dramatic Reversal makes unlimited mana for Whatever Happens, Happens. Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Izzet Signet and Talisman of Creativity ramp; All-In at the Casino tutors; Be Like Water and Asteroid Blues remove threats; Jet Says No counters; The Real Folk Blues sweeps — and with Spike, every wanted head is captured and paid.
A complete 100-card Commander deck plus 3 tokens, tuned for Bracket 4, available as a digital print-yourself edition or a printed physical deck, and offered in 10 languages.
