Devil May Cry - Dante Commander Deck · 100 Proxy Cards · MTG EDH · Stylish!

A fully custom Devil May Cry Magic proxy Commander deck, ready to play straight out of the envelope: 100 proxy cards with original artworks, built around a half-demon mercenary who takes the jobs nobody else survives and is visibly bored by all of them until somebody makes it interesting. This is a black-red (Rakdos) deck led by Dante.

Targeted power level: Bracket 4. Rakdos combat scored on variety: style rank climbs on the first spell of each new card type each turn, so the order you cast in matters more than what you cast.

Deck Strategy

Style Rank — Your rank starts at D every turn and climbs one step — D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS — each time you cast the FIRST spell of a card type you have not yet cast this turn. A creature, an instant, an artifact and a sorcery in the same turn is rank S. Four creatures is rank C.

The inverted curve — It makes this the only deck in the multiverse where casting a second card of the same type is actively worse than casting a cheaper card of a different one. The whole deck is built to reward the order you play in rather than the total mana you spent.

• STYLE RANK — Your rank starts at D each turn and climbs D → C → B → A → S → SS → SSS on the first spell of each new type.
• VARIETY, NOT VOLUME — A creature, an instant, an artifact and a sorcery in one turn is rank S. Four creatures is rank C.
• THE INVERTED CURVE — The only deck where a second card of the same type is actively worse than a cheaper card of another.
• DEVIL TRIGGER — The high ranks pay in Rakdos damage and recursion, so a well-ordered turn ends the game rather than extending it.
