The Grid and the Pit Stop
SKU F1-CARD-104
The Grid and the Pit Stop — Token card from the FORMULA 1 Commander deck (Lights Out).
The Grid and the Pit Stop
Type: Token
Rarity: Token
Mana Cost: —
Color Identity: Colorless
Reminder card. The Grid: each creature enters the battlefield with three grid counters on it. Its grid position is the number of grid counters on it — fewer counters is further ahead, and zero grid counters is pole. A creature can block a creature only if the blocking creature has at least as many grid counters on it as the creature it's blocking: you can only block what is ahead of you on the grid, never what is behind you. Overtake : remove a grid counter from a creature you control and put a wear counter on it. Moving up the order is the only thing this deck pays for, and it is also the only thing that stops your car defending.
Pit Stop: at the beginning of your upkeep, put a wear counter on each creature you control. A creature with three or more wear counters gets -3/-0. Tap a creature you control for a turn to pit: remove all wear counters from it. The wear is not damage and nobody inflicts it. It arrives on every one of your cars, every turn, because they are running, and the only cure is a turn spent standing still.
“Stopping is how you go faster. Everybody in the sport has known this for fifty years and it is still counter-intuitive at the moment it is called.”
Single card from the FORMULA 1 (Lights Out) Commander deck. Sold individually.
Fan-made proxy — not intended for official tournaments
