Ice and Release
SKU FROZEN-CARD-105
Ice and Release — Token card from the FROZEN Commander deck (Let It Go).
Ice and Release
Type: Token
Rarity: Token
Mana Cost: —
Color Identity: Colorless
Reminder card. Freeze: to freeze a permanent, put an ice counter on it. It doesn't untap during its controller's untap step. At three or more ice counters it's frozen solid: it loses all abilities and can't attack or block.
This is control that immobilises instead of destroying — nothing is killed, so nothing triggers, and the lock is reversible on your schedule.
Let it go: remove all ice counters from all permanents, including your own. X is the number of counters removed this way.
THE ICE IS YOURS TOO. Half of this deck's freeze effects point at your own board on purpose: Sven freezes himself for mana, the harvesters freeze your permanents to draw, and The Great Freeze of Arendelle freezes every creature on the table. Let it go is the only door out, and it pays you for every counter it takes off — so the ice you stack on yourself is the fuel, not the cost.
“The kingdom's entire export was ice, and the year it stopped melting was the year the trade stopped working.”
Single card from the FROZEN (Let It Go) Commander deck. Sold individually.
Fan-made proxy — not intended for official tournaments
