Premium−70%Hades — 100-Card Commander Deck
SKU DECK-HDS-100
Zagreus, Prince of the Underworld leads a Mardu (white/black/red) Commander deck where failure pays: every Boon is an Aura from an Olympian god on one of your creatures, and when it falls it returns to your hand. Zagreus makes Boons {1} cheaper, and whenever a Boon comes back your whole team gets a +1/+1 counter and you may draw a card.
Hades — Boons of Olympus
Commanded by Zagreus, Prince of the Underworld, this Mardu (white/black/red) 100-Card Commander Deck follows the son of the Lord of the Dead, who wants to leave home. His father forbids it, so he fights his way out: Tartarus, Asphodel, Elysium, the Temple of Styx, all the way to the surface where his real mother lives. His Olympian cousins — Zeus, Athena, Ares, Aphrodite, Artemis, Poseidon, Dionysus, Demeter, Hermes — answer his letters with gifts of power: Boons. He always fails. He dies, the Pool of Styx sends him home, and he sets out again — a little stronger each time. The cast includes Hades, Nyx, Persephone, Thanatos, Hypnos, Charon, Chaos, Cerberus, the three Furies, Achilles and Patroclus, Orpheus and Eurydice, Sisyphus and Bouldy, Dusa, Skelly, Theseus and Asterius. The Olympians only appear on the cards they send, never as permanents.
- Boon: word for word on fifteen Auras — "Enchant creature you control. When this Aura is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, return it to its owner's hand." The gods never take a gift back.
- Zagreus in three lines: first strike and haste; Boon spells cost {1} less; whenever a Boon returns to your hand, put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control, then you may draw a card. Every failed attempt sends the gift home, grows the whole team and draws — so you attack without holding back.
- Thirty-four cards carry or read Boon: Zeus' Lightning Strike, Athena's Divine Protection, Ares' Blade Rift, Hermes' Quick Favor and the duo Boons, Nyx returning the dead, Persephone healing, Chaos drawing on each Boon cast, Achilles and Theseus adding counters. The only counter is +1/+1.
Why Mardu
Black is the House — the Lord of the Dead, the Styx, a death that doesn't hold. Red is the prince — flaming feet, the Stygian blade, a temper and the urge to run. White is Olympus and the surface — family, gifts, the heroes of Elysium, the mother in her garden. Two combos close the game: Zagreus with Hermes' Quick Favor and Thanatos, Death Incarnate loops a free Boon for unlimited drain and counters, and Hades, Lord of the Dead with The Pool of Styx loops every life change until the table dies. Pom of Power, Keepsake Cabinet, Darkness Crystal, Titan Blood and Charon's Obols ramp; Gaze into the Mirror of Night tutors; Stygius Cleaves and Hades Hurls His Spear remove threats; Hades' Wrath sweeps; Chaos, the Primordial and The Fated List of Minor Prophecies draw.
A complete 100-card Commander deck plus 3 tokens, tuned for Bracket 4, available as a digital print-yourself edition or a printed physical deck, and offered in 10 languages.
