Premium−70%Hellsing — 100-Card Commander Deck
SKU DECK-HLS-100
Alucard, the No-Life King leads a Mardu (white/black/red) Commander deck of sealed powers: he and thirteen other permanents enter with one to three restriction counters, and their Released line only works at zero. Release removes a counter from every restricted permanent at once — and every creature an opponent controls that dies is a Release. Three levels, then double strike and indestructible.
Hellsing — Release Control Restriction
Commanded by Alucard, the No-Life King, this Mardu (white/black/red) 100-Card Commander Deck is set in London at the end of the 1990s. The Royal Order of Protestant Knights — the Hellsing Organization, founded by Abraham Van Helsing — hunts the kingdom's vampires for the Crown, and its weapon is a vampire: Alucard, bound to the family by a seal that only the head of the house can loosen, one level at a time. Against them stand Iscariot, the Vatican's Section XIII, with Father Anderson, and Millennium, a battalion of artificial vampires led by a Major who only wants the war to go on. The cast includes Integra, Walter, Seras Victoria, Pip Bernadotte and the Wild Geese, the Round Table, the Doctor, the Captain, Rip Van Winkle, Schrödinger and the Valentine brothers.
- Restricted N / Release: word for word — "This enters with N restriction counters on it. Its Released abilities work only while it has none." and "Release. (Remove a restriction counter from each permanent you control.)" N is 1, 2 or 3, never more than Alucard's three levels.
- Alucard is the plan: a 5/5 with flying and lifelink, Restricted 3; every creature an opponent controls that dies is a Release; Released, he has double strike and indestructible.
- Every seal at once: the same Releases free Seras (+3/+3 and flying), Walter (double strike and deathtouch), Anderson, the Captain, Rip Van Winkle, the Jackal and the Harkonnen cannon. Releases also come from Integra Hellsing, Knight of the Round Table, the Control Art Restriction System each upkeep, Cromwell Approved and Level Zero. Thirty-five cards carry or read the mechanic.
Why Mardu
Black is Alucard and every vampire at the table. Red is firepower and war — the Jackal, the Harkonnen, London in flames. White is the order holding the leash — Integra, the Round Table, the Crown, and the Catholic crusade of Section XIII. Two combos close the game: The Bond of Master and Servant with A Virgin's Blood turns any life gain, Alucard's lifelink included, into a lethal loop, and The Major with The Doctor drains without limit and lifts every seal. Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Rakdos Signet, Talisman of Conviction and Alucard's coffin ramp; The Van Helsing Journals tutors; Search and Destroy, Iscariot Judgment and Explosive Thirteen-Millimetre Round remove threats; London Burns sweeps and a Released Alucard survives it; The Round Table Conference draws.
A complete 100-card Commander deck plus 5 tokens, tuned for Bracket 4, available as a digital print-yourself edition or a printed physical deck, and offered in 10 languages.
