Glory and the Deal
SKU HERCULES-CARD-104
Glory and the Deal — Token card from the HERCULES Commander deck (Zero to Hero).
Glory and the Deal
Type: Token
Rarity: Token
Mana Cost: —
Color Identity: Colorless
Reminder card. Glory N: you get N glory counters. Glory counters stay with you, not on a permanent, and are never spent.
Glory is only ever paid for an ACT: a monster of theirs dying, a life you gain, a blow you take in place of another creature, or one of your own monsters going down. It is never paid for time passing and it is never spent, so it survives every board wipe and only goes up. Cards read it at fixed tiers — Famous 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 — and A True Hero wins the game at thirty.
Hades' Deal: a deal can't be countered, and its debt can't be prevented, countered, or removed. You pay the debt even if the card that made the deal is gone. Every deal is written as Now (the power, immediately) and The debt (what it costs you at the beginning of your next end step). Hades, Pain and Panic, Clio, the four Titans and the Underworld all trigger on the debt being paid — the lender is a card in this deck, and he collects.
“The gauge goes up when you do something. The contract comes due whether you do or not.”
Single card from the HERCULES (Zero to Hero) Commander deck. Sold individually.
Fan-made proxy — not intended for official tournaments
