The Seven Stars and the Succession
SKU HOKUTO-CARD-105
The Seven Stars and the Succession — Token card from the HOKUTO NO KEN Commander deck (Les Sept Étoiles).
The Seven Stars and the Succession
Type: Token
Rarity: Token
Mana Cost: —
Color Identity: Colorless
Reminder card. The Seven Stars: you can never earn the same star twice. At the beginning of your end step, for each deed done this turn whose star you lack, you get that star counter. SLAY: a creature an opponent controlled died. MERCY: you gained life. BREAK: an artifact was put into a graveyard from the battlefield. SILENCE: an opponent discarded a card. TRIBUTE: an opponent sacrificed a permanent. PIERCE: a creature you control dealt combat damage to a player and wasn't blocked. SCORCH: a land an opponent controlled was put into a graveyard. Your star count is the number of star counters you have.
Seven deeds, seven different KINDS of act, paid once each for the whole game. Doing the same thing twice pays nothing, ever, and a card whose star is already earned is dead weight you keep drawing. Nothing here is a delayed death: no counter in this deck exiles or destroys anything at a later end step. Every kill in this set lands the moment the fist does.
Successor: if you control two or more creatures with Successor, they fight at the beginning of your end step. Only one school survives. With three or more, you choose which two fight, and the trigger comes back every end step while two are still standing. At a star count of seven the succession is settled and the fighting stops.
“The school has one successor. The other candidates are also in the room.”
Single card from the HOKUTO NO KEN (Les Sept Étoiles) Commander deck. Sold individually.
Fan-made proxy — not intended for official tournaments
