The Circle and the Crown
SKU LIONKING-CARD-105
The Circle and the Crown — Token card from the THE LION KING Commander deck (Circle of Life).
The Circle and the Crown
Type: Token
Rarity: Token
Mana Cost: —
Color Identity: Colorless
Reminder card. Circle of life: when this creature dies, create a 1/1 white Spirit creature token named Ancestor with flying.
Nothing in this deck returns a dead creature to the battlefield or to hand. What the dead leave behind is a 1/1 flying body and, on the important characters, an ANCESTOR line — a static ability that keeps working while that card sits in your graveyard. The longer the game runs, the more anthems your living creatures stand under, and none of those anthems can be attacked.
Succession: if no creature has a crown counter on it, this creature enters with a crown counter on it. Whenever a creature deals combat damage to a creature with a crown counter on it, move that crown counter onto it.
There is exactly one crown in play, on exactly one creature, and it is not restricted to your side of the table. The King is enormous, and anything that connects with it in combat takes the throne. That is the price of the mechanic.
“The line is recited from the oldest name forward, and the rock is held by whoever is standing on it this season.”
Single card from the THE LION KING (Circle of Life) Commander deck. Sold individually.
Fan-made proxy — not intended for official tournaments
