Reminder card. The Favor: when you do a favor, the chosen opponent really receives it, right now — the card, the life, the Treasure, with no clause attached. Then you put a debt counter on that PLAYER. Removal does not answer it and a board wipe does not clear it.
Collect — Remove a debt counter from a player: [demand]. Collect abilities can be activated any time you could cast an instant, and only the player whose debt counter you removed is affected. Two spells collect as an additional cost to cast instead: Call It In and, in reverse, Enzo Corvi, who lends the debt straight back out.
The demands are obligations, never damage: a creature that does not block, a creature sacrificed, a card discarded, a spell that pays 
or fizzles, a creature the judge exiles.
