Premium−70%Metroid — 100-Card Commander Deck
SKU DECK-MTD-100
Samus Aran, Bounty Hunter leads an Azorius (white/blue) Commander deck of permanent power-ups: every Upgrade is an artifact that's exiled as it enters — collected — and its single line works from exile for the rest of the game. Commander death, wraths or artifact removal: Samus never loses an Upgrade, gets +1/+1 for each one and may draw a card on every collection.
Metroid — Upgrades
Commanded by Samus Aran, Bounty Hunter, this Azorius (white/blue) 100-Card Commander Deck follows an orphan of the K-2L colony raised by the Chozo, a learned bird people who gave her their DNA and her armour, now the best bounty hunter in the galaxy. Every mission has the same shape: she lands alone on a hostile planet — Zebes, Tallon IV, SR388, ZDR — loses or can't use nearly all her gear, and finds it again room by room — Morph Ball, missiles, Varia Suit, Space Jump, Screw Attack — each item held out in the open hands of a Chozo statue, each one making her stronger for good. The cast includes Adam Malkovich, Anthony Higgs, Admiral Dane, the Chozo Old Bird, Gray Voice and Quiet Robe, the hunters Rundas, Ghor, Gandrayda, Noxus and Spire, Aurora Unit 217, the baby Metroid and the whole Metroid line up to the Queen.
- Upgrade: word for word on seventeen artifacts — "When this enters, exile it — it's collected. Its ability works from exile for the rest of the game." — followed by a single line starting "Samus Aran has…" or "Whenever Samus Aran…". Kill Samus, wipe the table, recast her: she still has everything.
- Samus in four lines: ward {2}, Upgrade spells cost {1} less, +1/+1 for each Upgrade you've collected, and you may draw a card whenever you collect one. She stacks evasion (Morph Ball, Space Jump, Wave Beam), protection (Varia, Phantom Cloak, Gravity Suit) and damage (Plasma, Screw Attack, Super Missile, Power Bomb), then wins on commander damage.
- The Federation and the Chozo read the same pile: Adam Malkovich authorises an Upgrade from your hand each combat, Quiet Robe reduces their cost further, Ghor and Gray Voice grow with them. The only side element is Metroid tokens, 1/1 blue fliers that grow when they deal damage.
Why Azorius
White is the Chozo and the Federation — order, armour, protection. Blue is technology and science — the suit, the scan visor, the Aurora Units, Metroids as a research subject and ice as the only real weapon against them. No red: she's never angry, she's methodical. Two combos close the game: Sequence Break with two one-mana Upgrades loops free collections that drain each opponent without limit, and Phazon Enhancement Device on Chozo Power Generator makes unlimited colorless mana for a collected Charge Beam. Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Azorius Signet, Talisman of Progress and Chozo Power Generator ramp; Chozo Lore tutors; Bounty Collected, Freeze and Shatter and Noxus remove threats; Aurora Unit Override and Blast Shield counter; Zebes Self-Destruct sweeps and Gravity Suit carries Samus out of the blast; Scan Visor and Old Bird draw.
A complete 100-card Commander deck plus 3 tokens, tuned for Bracket 4, available as a digital print-yourself edition or a printed physical deck, and offered in 10 languages.
