Reminder card. Schooling: as Fish you control attack or block, you may gather any number of them into a single creature — a school — with their combined power and toughness. Lethal damage or destruction disperses the school instead of killing the Fish.

The dispersal clause is the whole mechanic. A school that eats a removal spell or a board wipe simply stops being gathered, and every Fish is standing there undamaged. Removal does not kill this deck, it interrupts it.

Just Keep Swimming: if this permanent would be put into a graveyard from the battlefield, return it to its owner's hand instead. Seventeen permanents carry it, six cards grant it, and five cards shuffle your graveyard into your library, so there is almost never a graveyard to attack. You pay full price to recast — that is the brake, and it is also the joke.
