Spy x Family — Operation Strix

Led by the partners Loid Forger, Agent Twilight and Yor Forger, Thorn Princess — with Anya Forger, Subject 007 as a mythic in the deck — this Esper (white/blue/black) 100-Card Commander Deck is set in Berlint during a cold peace. Westalis's best spy must reach Donovan Desmond, who only appears at his son's school events — and you only meet him if your child becomes an Imperial Scholar, with eight golden Stellas. Twilight becomes a psychiatrist, adopts a girl who reads minds and marries a city-hall clerk who is secretly an assassin. The cast includes Bond, Sylvia Sherwood, Fiona Frost, Franky, Yuri Briar, Henry Henderson, Damian, Becky Blackbell and Bondman.

• Stella: "earn a Stella. (Put a Stella counter on a creature you control.)" Loid earns one when your creatures deal combat damage to a player, Yor when an opponent's creature dies, Sylvia by tapping, Henderson when an opponent loses life on your turn, plus counterspells, draws and blocks.
• Imperial Scholar: one threshold — "As long as you have eight or more Stellas…" Loid makes your decorated creatures unblockable, Yor gains double strike and indestructible, Demetrius flies, Donovan Desmond drains 3 from each opponent, Operation Strix draws two.
• The simple tension: a Stella leaves with its creature. Stack them on one child and it becomes huge; spread them and they're safe. The only sweeper, One Night on the Princess Lorelei, destroys every creature without a Stella — your decorated ones stay standing.

Why Esper

White is the family and the school — Eden Academy, a dog that protects, a marriage of convenience that becomes real. Blue is espionage and telepathy: with Anya, your opponents play with their hands revealed. Black is Garden and the secret police. Two combos close the game: Henry Henderson with The Shopkeeper of Garden drains without limit, and Sylvia Sherwood with Fiona Frost earns unlimited Stellas. Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Azorius Signet, Talisman of Hierarchy and Becky's Treasures ramp; Westalis Intelligence Briefing tutors; Tonitrus Bolt and Nightfall's Ambush remove threats; Anya Saw It Coming and Classified counter; The WISE Dead Drop and Spy Wars draw; Strix Will Not Fail and Bond Forger protect.
