Premium−70%The Dragon Prince — 100-Card Commander Deck
SKU DECK-TDP-100
Callum, the Sky Mage partners with Ezran, the Boy King or Rayla, the Moonshadow Assassin in a Bant (white/blue/green) Commander deck built on one action, team up: two of your creatures each deal damage equal to their power to one creature you don't control, and it hits back at only one of them. Callum draws a card every time, Ezran puts a +1/+1 counter on both partners, Rayla strikes first and grows when enemy creatures die, and Zym, Azymondias of the Sky joins the 99 as a planeswalker.
The Dragon Prince — Team Up
Choose your co-commanders: Callum & Ezran or Rayla. Callum, the Sky Mage leads this Bant (white/blue/green) 100-Card Commander Deck alongside either Ezran, the Boy King or Rayla, the Moonshadow Assassin. All three print plain Partner, and either pair covers all three colors: Callum is white and blue, Ezran green and white, Rayla green and blue. For a thousand years humans and elves have fought across a border of lava. The humans killed the king of the dragons and, it was said, destroyed his egg. The night Moonshadow assassins come for the king of Katolis, one of them, Rayla, finds the two princes who hold that egg: Ezran, ten years old, who can hear what animals feel, and his half-brother Callum, who cannot do magic because humans can't. The three carry the egg home to its mother; it hatches on the way, and Callum learns the Sky Arcanum. The cast includes Bait the glow toad, King Harrow, General Amaya and Gren, Corvus, Soren, Opeli, Queen Aanya of Duren, Runaan, Ethari, Lujanne, Nyx, Ibis, Janai of Lux Aurea, Villads, Terry, Ava the three-legged wolf, Zubeia and Avizandum; Viren only appears as the enemy.
- Team up: word for word on every card that has it. Choose two creatures you control; each deals damage equal to its power to target creature you don't control, and that creature deals damage equal to its power to only one of them, your choice. Two against one, and the target hits back only at the one you put in front.
- The co-commanders: Callum flies and teams up for {2} and a tap as a sorcery, and draws a card whenever you team up. Ezran has vigilance, may team up at the beginning of combat on your turn, and puts a +1/+1 counter on each of the two creatures you chose. Rayla has flash and first strike, may team up whenever she attacks, and gets a +1/+1 counter whenever a creature you don't control dies.
- Zym, Azymondias of the Sky: a planeswalker in the 99 with loyalty 4. His +1 gives a creature +1/+1 and flying, his −2 teams up and draws a card, and his −6 gives you an emblem: whenever you team up, creatures you control get +2/+2 and gain flying until end of turn.
- The payoffs: General Amaya, the Standing Battalion drains, Queen Aanya of Duren makes a Human Soldier, Ethari, Moonshadow Smith adds two green mana, Villads, Ocean Captain scries 2, Janai, Queen of Lux Aurea pumps the team, Rayla's Moonblades jump onto one of the partners, Callum's Sketchbook untaps, and The Pentarchy Accord puts a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control when the two partners share no creature type, a human and an elf for example.
- The enablers: Soren, Runaan, Ava, Janai and a row of soldiers, knights and elves may team up as they enter; Aspiro, Fulminis, Moonshadow Strike and Back to Back do it at instant speed; Zubeia, Queen of the Dragons teams up twice on arrival and We Do This Together three times.
Why Bant
Green is Ezran and the Earth: animals, toads, the wolf and the fight itself. Blue is the Sky and the Moon: Callum's runes, the dragons, Lujanne's illusions. White is the kingdoms and their alliances: Katolis, Duren, Lux Aurea. No black: the only dark magic in this story belongs to the enemy. Two combos close games. Terry, Earthblood Gardener with Opeli, High Cleric of Katolis makes unlimited green mana, because Terry's -1/-1 counter is reduced to none, for The Glow Toad Pond to build an army of frogs and The Egg Comes Home for +X/+X and trample. The Breath of the Sky with Ibis, Skywing Mage and Nyx, Skywing Elf nets two mana on every loop, and A Friend in Every Kingdom draws two cards per loop. Bracket 4 tools: The Primal Stone, The Banner of Katolis, The Sigil of the Crownguard, The Moonstone Talisman, Bait and Terry ramp; Follow the Egg's Glow and The Dragon Prince's Egg tutor, the Egg putting a Dragon or a planeswalker such as Zym straight onto the battlefield; Banished Beyond the Breach, Earthblood Curse and Turned Into a Toad remove threats, alongside every team up; Not Today, Viren counters; The Storm of the Thunder King is the only sweeper; A Friend in Every Kingdom and Callum himself draw cards.
A complete 100-card Commander deck plus 4 tokens, tuned for Bracket 4, available as a digital print-yourself edition or a printed physical deck, and offered in 10 languages.
