Trigun — 100-Card Commander Deck

Vash the Stampede leads a Boros (red/white) Commander deck that wins without destroying: Disarm puts a disarm counter on a creature and sets its base power to 0 — it stays, keeps its abilities and still fights, it just has no weapon. Love and Peace gives your creatures +1/+0 for each disarmed creature your opponents control, so every enemy you spare makes you stronger.

Trigun — Love and Peace

Commanded by Vash the Stampede, this Boros (red/white) 100-Card Commander Deck is set on Gunsmoke, a desert planet with two suns settled by the survivors of a crashed colony fleet, where every town lives off a Plant, a living bulb that gives water and light. The most wanted man on the planet is a lanky blond in a red coat and round orange glasses with sixty billion double-dollars on his head — the Humanoid Typhoon — and in a hundred years of gunfights nobody has ever confirmed that he killed anyone. He shoots the gun out of your hand, then raises both of his and shouts "Love and peace!" The cast includes Nicholas D. Wolfwood and the Punisher, Meryl Stryfe and Milly Thompson of the Bernardelli Insurance Society, Rem Saverem, Millions Knives, Livio the Double Fang and the Gung-Ho Guns he beat and let go.

  • Disarm: word for word on thirty-four cards — "Put a disarm counter on it. A creature with a disarm counter has base power 0." The disarmed creature stays on the battlefield, keeps its abilities and toughness, and can still attack and block: it just has no weapon.
  • Love and Peace: Vash's line and the whole game plan — creatures you control get +1/+0 for each disarmed creature your opponents control. Every enemy kept alive makes your team hit harder; every one that dies lowers the bonus.
  • Seventeen cards read "disarmed" or trigger when you disarm: Rem Saverem gains life, Bernardelli Insurance Society draws, the Claims Adjuster makes a Treasure, the Sheriff of Inepril adds a counter, Livio gains double strike, The Humanoid Typhoon drains for each disarmed creature. Vash disarms whenever he attacks, and so does Wolfwood.

Why Boros

Red is the gunfight, the sand steamer, the typhoon and the twin brother. White is the promise made to Rem, the insurance company, the orphanage and "Love and peace!" No black: he never kills. Two combos close the game: Rem Saverem with Milly Thompson, Stun Gun Specialist trades counters, damage and life without limit for two cards and zero mana; Millions Knives copying Sand Steamer Conductor makes unlimited hasty attackers, each pumped by Love and Peace. The only sweeper is Angel Arm: destroy each creature that doesn't have a disarm counter. The Plant Bulb, SEEDS Reactor Core, Wanted: Sixty Billion Double-Dollars and A Box of Donuts ramp; A Promise to Rem tutors; Put the Gun Down, Run Out of Town and Taken into Custody remove threats; Wolfwood's Envelope for the Orphanage and Damage Report in Triplicate draw.

A complete 100-card Commander deck plus 4 tokens, tuned for Bracket 4, available as a digital print-yourself edition or a printed physical deck, and offered in 10 languages.
