Twilight — The Shield

Commanded by Bella Cullen, the Shield, this Abzan (white/black/green) 100-Card Commander Deck follows the five Twilight films, from Forks, Washington to the snowfield where the Volturi came to judge Renesmee. Bella is the newborn vampire of Breaking Dawn – Part 2, and her gift is the deck's engine: a shield thrown over everyone she loves. Around her stand the Cullens — Edward, Alice, Carlisle, Esme, Rosalie, Emmett and Jasper — and the Quileute pack — Jacob Black, Sam Uley, Leah and Seth Clearwater, Paul, Embry, Quil and Jared — with Charlie Swan and Billy Black watching over both. Across the table: Aro, Jane, Caius, Marcus, Alec, Demetri and Felix of the Volturi, the nomads James, Victoria and Laurent, and Riley Biers with his newborn army. The witnesses from Breaking Dawn complete the cast: Garrett, Benjamin, Zafrina, Eleazar, Vladimir and Stefan, and Nahuel.

Treaty — Vampires and Wolves, Side by Side

• Treaty: eight creatures carry it word for word — "Treaty — Whenever this creature attacks, if you control both a Vampire and a Wolf, ..." Edward Cullen draws a card, Jacob Black brings a 2/2 Wolf token tapped and attacking, Alice Cullen scries 2 and draws, Emmett Cullen fights, Jasper Hale stops a blocker, Seth Clearwater puts a shield counter on an ally, Garrett pumps the whole team and Jared Cameron grows.
• Bella's shield: at the beginning of combat on your turn, Bella Cullen, the Shield puts a shield counter on each other Vampire and each Wolf you control. If a creature with a shield counter would be dealt damage or destroyed, the shield counter is removed instead — and Bella draws a card, twice each turn.
• More shields: Rosalie Hale, Bella's Shield, The Change, Cullen Crest Bracelet, Renesmee Cullen, Bree Tanner, The Cullen House and The Snowfield all add shield counters, and Rosalie gives shielded creatures +1/+0.
• The pack grows: Sam Uley, Quileute Pack Runner, The Treaty Line and Jacob Black make 2/2 Wolf tokens, Sam pumps every Wolf, Quil Ateara puts counters on the pack and The Treaty grows every attacker when a Vampire and a Wolf attack together.
• The battle that never happened: The Battle Alice Saw destroys all creatures — and your shielded Vampires and Wolves lose a shield counter instead of dying.

Why Abzan

White is the Cullen family and Bella's gift: protection, mercy and a home. Black is vampirism and the Volturi: Aro reading every thought, Jane's pain, the Singer's blood. Green is the Quileute pack and the Olympic forest. Two combos close the game. Carlisle Cullen gives your other non-Human creatures +1/+1 and undying, and Riley Biers enters with three +1/+1 counters and pings any target by removing one — he kills himself with his last counters, returns with four, and deals unlimited damage. The Singer's Blood with Feeding in Volterra turns any life gain or loss into a loop that drains every opponent. Bracket 4 tooling: Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Talisman of Hierarchy, Talisman of Resilience, Cullen Crest Bracelet, Benjamin, Embry Call and Running with the Pack for mana; A Vision of the Future and Gathering the Witnesses as tutors; Volturi Justice, Pack Ambush, Clash in the Clearing, Dark Thirst, The Volturi's Sentence, Felix, Caius and Jane as removal; Billy Black, Hunting in the Olympic Forest and Aro for cards.

A complete 100-card Commander deck plus 3 tokens (a Wolf, a Newborn and a Treaty reminder card), tuned for Bracket 4, with 35 lands including ten themed nonbasics such as Forks, Washington, La Push Beach, The Meadow, Volterra and Isle Esme.
