Why black and red? Black is the bond — the theft, the hunger, the deal Eddie made and cannot unmake. Red is what the symbiote actually is once it is out: appetite with teeth, moving faster than the host can argue. There is no blue here on purpose. Nothing about this deck is a plan.

Targeted power level: Bracket 4 — three combo routes, fast mana, a full tutor package and real interaction. Built to be the strongest deck at a table that is not playing cEDH.

Deck Strategy

Every symbiote is a creature OR an aura. Put it on THEIR creature. It is yours now. Permanently.

• BOND — Every symbiote can be cast as a creature or as an Aura. The Aura mode is the whole trick.
• HOSTILE TAKEOVER — Bond a symbiote to an OPPONENT’S creature and you gain control of it. It does not go back.
• THE HIVE — Symbiotes count each other. A board of five is a different card from a board of one.
• CARNAGE — Three combo routes, including a bond loop that steals the table’s whole board in one turn.
