Type: Token

Rarity: Token

Mana Cost: —

Color Identity: Colorless

Reminder card. HEART N: you get N heart counters, and they sit on YOU, not on a creature. If damage would be dealt to you, you may remove that many heart counters instead — this is the row of hearts in the corner of the screen, and it is the only thing defending a life total that nothing else in this deck protects. Hearts are also a CURRENCY: nineteen cards pay them as a cost, and the strongest lines in the deck deliberately run the row down.

LOW HEALTH is an ability word: the effect after it is live only while you have TWO OR FEWER heart counters. Nine cards carry it. The deck is at its most dangerous in the state that should be killing it.

BOTTLE cost: pay the cost and exile the card from your hand FACE UP. While you have two or fewer heart counters you may cast it from exile for free. Four bottles maximum, because that is how many bottles a person gets. It is public on purpose — the table can see the fairy sitting there and has to decide whether to push you into the range where it opens.

“Spend the row down on purpose, and everything you left in the bottles wakes up at once.”
