Predator, Prey, and the Districts
SKU ZOOTOPIA-CARD-105
Predator, Prey, and the Districts — Token card from the ZOOTOPIA Commander deck (Try Everything).
Predator, Prey, and the Districts
Type: Token
Rarity: Token
Mana Cost: —
Color Identity: Colorless
Reminder card. Predator: this creature can't be blocked by creatures with less power than it. Prey: this creature can't be blocked by creatures with greater power than it. Every creature in this deck is printed with one label or the other, and the two labels are the blocking rules of the whole set: big things are stopped only by big things, small things are caught only by small things.
Go savage: put a savage counter on a creature. As long as it has a savage counter, it gets +2/+2, it loses Prey, and it has Predator and trample. A savaged Prey stops being catchable by the small and becomes uncatchable by them instead, which is how one dart turns a table around.
District: a creature can be in only one district at a time, and while it's there it has the base power and toughness and the abilities printed on that district. Little Rodentia makes it 1/1, Tundratown 4/6 and slow, Sahara Square 4/1 with trample, Rainforest District 2/2 with flying — and its label reads the new power, not the old one.
“Ninety per cent of this city is prey, ten per cent is predator, and the entire municipal filing system is built on being able to tell which is which.”
Single card from the ZOOTOPIA (Try Everything) Commander deck. Sold individually.
