Reminder card. Dual Protagonist: only one of your two commanders can be on the battlefield. At the beginning of your turn, choose Naoe or Yasuke. If the other one is on the battlefield, put it into the command zone. A commander put into the command zone this way doesn't increase its commander tax.

The switch is FREE and the deck is built in two halves. Thirteen cards read "While you control Naoe" — rooftops, night, information, Kage. Eighteen read "While you control Yasuke" — forced blocks, trample, wound counters. Six read both and do two different things. Seven can't be cast or activated at all without the right protagonist standing there.

Wound counters: damage isn't removed from a creature with a wound counter on it as the turn ends. Yasuke's half kills over two combats, not one.

Kage: this creature can't be blocked and can't be targeted as long as you control no untapped permanents. Not a cost and not a counter — a board state. The shadow requires that you have already spent everything, which is why five cards in this deck tap your own permanents on purpose.
