Dual Protagonist

Only one of your two commanders, Naoe or Yasuke, can be on the battlefield at a time. At the beginning of your turn you choose which one is in play, and the other returns to the command zone with no tax. Thirty-two cards in the deck read this choice: thirteen work only with Naoe, eighteen only with Yasuke, six behave differently depending on who's present, and seven won't even cast without the right protagonist in play.

Kage

This creature can't be blocked and can't be targeted as long as you control no untapped permanents — the shadow only protects once you've already committed everything.
