• Runes: rune counters are the deck's second currency, spent as an additional cost by around forty cards — but the moment a creature you control dies, every rune you hold is lost at once, exiled onto a Bloodstain token.
• Bloodstain: reclaim your lost runes only by fighting your way back to them — dealing combat damage to an opponent or killing the creature that killed yours.
