Rads and V.A.T.S.
SKU FALLOUT-CARD-105
Rads and V.A.T.S. — Token card from the FALLOUT Commander deck (War Never Changes).
Rads and V.A.T.S.
Type: Token
Rarity: Token
Mana Cost: —
Color Identity: Colorless
Reminder card. RADS N: put N rad counters on target player. A player with ten or more rad counters is a Ghoul: creatures that player controls lose all activated abilities, and that player loses 2 life at the beginning of their upkeep.
The counters go on the PLAYER, not on a creature, and they do not spread — nothing in this deck moves a rad counter from one person to another. Rads accumulate, they are only removed by cards that say so, and at ten the player is a Ghoul for the rest of the game: no activated abilities on their creatures and 2 life every upkeep. Ten is not a target you reach by accident. It is reached by the deck deciding, over five or six turns, who is going to be the one.
V.A.T.S. — Choose a limb: head (it loses all abilities), arm (it can't attack), or leg (it loses flying and haste and can't block). Put a cripple counter of that kind on it.
V.A.T.S. does not kill. It takes a limb off and leaves the creature on the battlefield with the counter still on it. A crippled creature is a permanent liability to its controller and a permanent asset to Nick Valentine, Elder Arthur Maxson and Cooper Howard, who all read the counter.
“War. War never changes. The dose is cumulative, the limb does not grow back, and neither of those is a metaphor.”
Single card from the FALLOUT (War Never Changes) Commander deck. Sold individually.
Fan-made proxy — not intended for official tournaments
