The Crooked Man is one of the Summoned. While you control The Grimoire of the Damned, The Crooked Man has indestructible and ward {2} — removal, wraths and blockers simply do not work. At the beginning of the end step you sacrifice The Crooked Man, and next main phase the book brings The Crooked Man straight back for free. Take the book away and The Crooked Man is exiled instead of dying: no sequel.
