Reminder card. Vassals: as a nonlegendary creature you control enters, it is sworn to a legendary creature you control — its Lord. When that Lord dies, the creature's control changes to the player who controls the legendary creature with the greatest power. Nobody chooses. There is no targeting, no payment, no offer and no refusal: a Lord dies, the register is read again, and the whole retinue walks to the strongest house on the board. Your army is a bearer asset, and the correct play against this deck is to kill your commander.

The Castle: a castle land enters with five wall counters on it. As long as it has a wall counter on it, you can't be attacked by more than one creature each combat, and every creature that attacks you tears one counter off it. Five attacks and the keep is a place that makes mana. Kuroda Kanbei and Ishida Mitsunari spend those counters on purpose — your defence and your card advantage are the same pile of stones.
