How to choose a proxy Commander deck
Start with the theme
You will look at these cards for dozens of games. Pick a universe you love — a film saga, a comic, a horror franchise, an anime. A deck you are excited to show off is a deck you will actually play.
Check the commander and colors
The commander defines the deck's colors and its plan. Read the product description to see what the deck wants to do: go wide with tokens, drain the table, control the board, or race with big creatures. Choose a play style you enjoy.
Match your table's power level
Check the bracket or power level in the deck description and compare it with your group. A focused, well-tuned deck can feel oppressive in a table of precons; a casual deck can struggle against optimized lists. See proxies in Commander for more on Rule 0 and brackets.
Decide on the format
Every deck is available as print-ready files you download and print yourself, or as a printed deck on black-core card stock. If you plan to print at home, read how to print MTG proxies first.
Not ready for a full deck?
Every card in these decks is also sold individually. Browse the single proxy cards to add a themed staple to a deck you already own.
